Getting Started

To get started with the Magna Links editor, do the following:

1. Install the plugin by downloading it and copying it to you 'dropins' eclipse directory.
2. In eclipse, create a file that has a .magna extension.
3. Open the .magna file.
4. Start dragging and dropping!

Helpful hints:

1. After creating the .magna file, right-click in the Magna Links editor and click 'Link Properties' to bring up the Magna Link properties view, which will allow you to customize the font, colors, etc. This view is context sensitive...it will change depending on whether you have clicked on the background, a group or an individual item.
2. To create a group, 'right click' in the editor and choose 'New Group'.
3. To create a url, 'right click' in the editor and choose 'New URL'.
4. To add directories or files, you must do so via drag and drop.
5. Groups and individual items can be dragged by clicking on the icon and dragging.
6. Groups and individual items have context menus that can be invoked by right clicking on the icon.
